Cookie's guide was aimed to help win lane, and to do great at first stage of the game. but AM is a hero that's different from all other heroes and requires more understanding of the game than most other carries. It's not just press buttons and win. even if you're ahead in net worth you can lose the game. you can't siege high ground with it, and most importantly you should NOT die to ganks, which is very much possible if you have good understanding of enemy hero patterns.
I have started playing AM after cookies guide too. and yes there has been some very horrible experiences involved. I'm not even as good at first 10 minutes as I like to be (Bfury always comes late). but after 60+ games I finally know how I can help my team and not just afk farm and am slowly getting the hang of it (My winrate is only high because people in my bracket suck idk why I won my early AM games....).
Don't give up, AM is just very different than other carries.
I told a friend about the 100 games on Am thingy and he too kept losing at first and blaming his team but after the first 20 games or so he actually is on a very long winstreak now
so pick an easier carry, you already did tb, try troll. And btw 55% on TB after 100 games doesn't seem impressive at all. I'd want at least 66%, 2 out of 3. you're only 250 points gained on TB in 100 games. It makes me question if you really are improving at all. You could've probably ripped off 55% on spamming a hero without the guide.
For example I haven't played hardly at all but have only spammed troll in ranked last 3 months (except for one game last night when enemy team first picked troll). Only 15 games- I've been busy, but I am 11-4, 73% win rate. So I have gained 175 mmr in 15 games as opposed to your 250 in 100. Will the games get harder at higher mmr? Sure, but I'll also have to improve to get there so I'm pretty sure I can maintain this winrate, especially since a couple of those losses were as close to unwinnable as you can get like mids starting 0-5, solo vs a bristleback + bs etc.
