they should rework his passive i think, it can be way too op in lane and becomes useless in fights if you haven't stacked it before

I play Timbersaw a lot and I have a 57% win rate. It received nothing but buffs in recent patches. There's no need to rush bloodstone (especially with that new mana talent). Go for bloodstone only if you have a very good start and there's no pressure on your team. Item build on Timbersaw can be very flexible. The only items you should consider mandatory in the beginning are: soul ring, stick and arcane boots.
And after that try going for lotus orb, as your first core item:
* easy to build (small parts + arcana can be disassembled)
* gives you initial armor, so that you can start fights without armor stacks
* gives you good mana regen
* very handy dispel (smart opponents will prepare vessel against you)
* echo shell will save you and your allies - it's really amazing how much disruption in enemy team you can do with this item :)
* lotus stays viable till the late game
I also recently played him and he felt really weak in late fights, especially against the enemy carry ursa :/

Key to having success with timber is knowing when to pick him. Ur right when u say timber is weak rn because there’s just a bunch of heroes that do well against him. IMO he’s only really good as a last pick as there’s a hero in every pos (carry, off, mid, and support) that counters him or at least does pretty decent against him. Timber almost always needs to win his lane for him to have impact and if u don’t last pick ur just gonna get countered in lane and have a shit game.

anyone got a 50%+ winrate on Timbersaw and plays him a lot? just played it again https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/4849399513 , I cant think of a worse hero in this patch than timbersaw. Its impossible to keep up armor stacks enough. Only with bloodstone you can move around enough to keep the armor stacks up somewhat. I cant think of any hero depending on an item so bad as Timbersaw (maybe Tinker boots of travel).
I dont see any way you can win with this hero even as a counterpick.
The hero dominates lane, then it needs like a huge mid-game phase in order to get enough gold for bloodstone, and build out from there.
I would personally like to see a buff to the passive, increasing the armor time. Also you should be able to right-click when ur ult is spinning.
