According to some people - it's about neutrals' camps placement.
According to symmetrical LoL it's about camera's angle.
It varies among people, though.
Radiant offlane is much better with the pull camp, and the mid lane is much closer to the neutrals' camps
Also the Dire's Rosh advantage requires teamwork to take advantage of, because early game Rosh requires 2-3 people. Whereas Radiant's laning advantage helps everyone regardless of how well they play.

The map isn't totally symetrical in lol... (it's mb even worst than in dota actually, considering how the forced 1-1-2+jungle)
even thought they made some "improvement" to force even more the meta and make it a bit more symetrical.
That would be almost due to camera angle, if one of the two jungle was inversed, so we have same buff color in the same side of jungle.
Interesting points, the camera angle is def noticeable when you pay attention to it. I don't really have a preference when it comes to sides, but I find it surprising of how big the discrepancy is.
But doesn't Dire have a much higher winrate for competitive games? Maybe camera angle isn't that big of a factor?
I like Dire when I play Tide. It's safer to stack and farm ancients.
It's not only about offlane, but mid, ancient, camera angle, etc.
Dire mid is way easier to gank, and you can actually dual lane as Radiant efficiently, compared to dual laning Dire.
Supports can actually EFFICIENTLY harass enemy with rightclicks as Radiant, without drawing creepagro or anything.
The reason why Dire have higher winrate in PRO is cause roshan has such as big factor on game, which pubs often doesnt take advantage of usually no good communication.
damn I love these emoticons so cute

I was kinda afk when the new stats came to dbuff, so I may have missed the discussion, but I've noticed myself and lots of others have a huge advantage when on the Radiant side? I have about a 5% difference (54 vs 49%). I know the generic tradeoff is Radiant top lane for rosh, but I always had the feeling that Rosh was the bigger advantage? Any other reasoning?
