Vlad's has lifesteal though, and that's big on some heroes like Ursa/PA who can output a lot of damage in a short amount of time. Not to mention it also gives +dmg to allies. Idk HotD seems like a much safer choice than Vlad's though, just because of the utility it provides with Dominate
It depends on the hero but generally dominator is kinda bad atm and almost never worth buying
This comparison makes no sense unless you somehow didn't know about the helm of the dominator change several months ago.
vlads and hotd build at the same time? u know how much gold u cost that build when u can just build a vlads or MoM? Lol
yeah they way overnerfed it, cost increased by 225g, lost 4 stats and all it gained was 2 hp regen. I think they should give the 4 stacks back now that it's 2025g.
Don't hesitate to buy HotD on CM just to get that creep that gives 3 aura mana regeneration. Your team will go ballistic with commends.

Ik with helm you get more AS but less damage, but vlads gives 4 armor and 15% damage increase, as for jungle sustaining, they the same except vlads give 0.8 mana per sec, but with the clarity update (doesnt get cancelled when hit by creep)....mana regen isnt v.important.
Personally I prefer the helm because its 400 cheaper, has more versatility because I can pick any creep.
Down side...only for noobs, is that it requires micro.
