I was thinking about a similar feature.
For each hero we could see how often they are picked, using %.
And the problems with new heroes you can trace the ammount of games before the hero is enabled.
Ex: Tomorow they are going to add Magnataur, so before the patch we have X_b4_mg games. To calculate the % once the hero is enabled just get the { magnataur_games / ( total_games - X_b4_mg )}.

I too would like to see graphs of hero popularity over time, as well as hero win rates over time. I'm sure win rates for many heroes will start bad, but grow. But some heroes will get worse, as players learn how to counter them. I'm sure Ursa wins less often now than he used to... but I'd like to see if my certainty is justified.

I assume it's rather stable, except for new heroes; but maybe not?
Maybe there are some epic battles between TA and Riki each week, which one is in top ten most played heroes?
Would be nice to check how it changes over time.(3days/week/month etc)
