In the future, never listen to Wink @ item decisions. He has very low insight in how effective items may be, and I've seen him talk about getting Powertreads on spectre to make his illusions "tankier". That says enough.
Your build was really greedy, Phaseboots>Radiance>Diffisual. You're building nothing around your 3rd skill, dispersion. (Building around this = get tankier, more hp).
After Radiance you should rather went HoT, but since you're playing with and versus retards you can basically buy anything and get away with it.

Actually I'm curious, why is phase boots picked up more than power treads for spectre? Aside from more damage for last hits early in the game
for movement speed, its really a preference thing. one boot gives attack speed and hp, the other gives movespeed and damage, so you get what you like. i prefer phase if i expect a lot of kiting or chasing, and i get treads if i am against nukers or expect myself to be farming forever

Vangaurd is pretty crucial for the regen and to make you not squishy as fuck
I go radiance once in a blue moon if the other team is filled with squishy heroes
And I always go treads over phase
idk why you'd go AC when it doesn't increase your Dispersion damage output which is solely based on your HP number, not EHP from armour or magic resistance, et cetera.
AC's comparable in price to Skadi or Heart, much better items because they give survivability against physical (like AC), but also magical, because they give HP whereas AC only gives armour.

Considering how Spectre is a hero who's item build can vary so much, dealing with absolutes (i.e. using 'always' or 'never') is the biggest mistake you can make. Phase has it's benefits, a good player will recognise when to get one boot over the other.
Your skill build was pretty terrible. Anything more than 1 point in Dispersion early on is a waste, especially as you said you were rushing a Radiance. The amount of survivability that Dispersion gives is based on your HP pool which is shit early on, therefore Dispersion's damage block is also shit.
The best skillbuild is either getting Dagger or Desolate. Even if you are having a tough lane, do not max Dispersion. You will not come back from it, it just delays a loss. The best thing you can do in a losing lane is try to get a kill when you're 6/7 with a rank 3 or 4 Desolate, which basically doubles your damage per hit.
You can use Haunt to kill one person in the early game just like any other big teamfight ultimate when you're not fighting 5v5 anyways. If you went 2-0-4-1 like you currently did and you were losing, you'd have no damage, or survivability either, even with maxed Dispersion, you'd still die just as easily without it.
So something like 1-3-1-1 or 2-2-1-1, or even 3-2-0-1 / 2-3-0-1 in an uncontested lane will be optimal for the early game, as it will let you contribute early since you'll have good damage.
imo your item build was conflicting. You can build spectre primarily as a right clicker but with less survivability e.g. Manta + Diffusal and maybe a Drum or SNY, Buttefly, Skadi or Daedelus are good late game options. or you can build her purely as a tank around Dispersion and/or Radiance damage where you get as much HP as possible and even a Blade Mail, forcing the enemy to fight you and take extra reflected damage, or let you hit them with Desolate and get free Radiance damage.
If you're going Heart + Radiance, you don't need Butterfly. Butterfly doesn't increase your Dispersion damage and especially since Evasion is disabled by mute (Doom or Duel). If LC was duelling you, activating Blade Mail before she duels you results in easy duel wins. Or if you're lucky enough to activate Manta before she duels you, your Manta illusions benefit from Desolate, which is a 1v1 damage steroid. Obviously you can see the synergy between that and Duel, which forces you in a 1v1.
SNY is also good on Spectre in the mid game, as makes her attacks stronger, as well as upping her survivability, so it's a good item whether you build her as a tank or a right clicker. Same with Skadi, the slow is reliable unlike SNY's, it gives both damage and survivability, but you don't get move speed.
Who said I went AC to increase my dispersion output. I get it for the same reason you'd get AC any other time.
And no. I'd never sacrafice my AS for dmg and an MS boost on Spectre. Doesn't mean it'd bad to, but I don't.
Didnt read the other comments but why no manta? :(. It makes you able to ulti at any time and just solo someone who is not building tank with 3x desolate, radiance and the normal rightclick damage.
I would understand it if the enemy team had an ES or something but mehhh. Manta is almost as core as it is on Antimage.

Well by the time I got the soul booster or whatever its called (the red orb thing to build heart) we were basically close to ending it. I bought the diffusal blade in one shot, when I had the gold. I did go Phase boots. the BoTs were just me switching out my Phase to have my scoreboard look good. rofl
I used the XBOCT guide on Spectre. Yeah I paid no attention to details lol. I was considering grabbing a Manta but game was pretty much over and I was worried about Riki's bash

Hi I would just like a few insight from you guys about this game. I know, a lot of text. It's a "3K" unranked game. If you care about numbers. lol
I had a fail laning phase against Razor. Pudge was my lane BFF and was pulling creeps for his own farm. I just couldn't seem to get last hits... LOL It must be me not used to last hitting as I generally play support or jungle. I used my ult a lot when there were a few ganks from Mirana and Pudge. Tidehunter did not talk the whole time, and sometimes was confusing with his actions, but whatevs. We had a bad support in Tide. We eventually found the key to winning the game, the green thing called a "Gem". Our team including me was bad but whatever, we argued a few times but cooperated when it mattered the most.
From what I remember when we for sure finished the game my gold hit up to 6000 or 8000. The butterfly was just a purchase I made before the GG. I really was not sure what to build for Spectre as well. I was using the XBOCT build. I was thinking of Manta, but Riki was more farmed then me at the time, or had a basher. I asked and Mirana said Diffusal Blade, so I got that, into a heart.
My first core item I was debating on a Vanguard or Radiance. I ended up getting Relic because our team was fighting a lot and such and I got a lot of gold from it. I stopped NP from pushing, but his Necros were melting me a lot, I still lived. I'm not sure what else to say I was very focused on getting my Relic in the early mid game. My 222 last hits for a 50 minute is not good obviously, but other then that, any thoughts?
You don't necessarily have to watch the replay or whatever. I'm sure the description is enough and/or dbuff match scoreboard. For sure the next time I play spectre in a few months there will be a proper laning phase, etc. But for now...
