I am a deathadder owner, its comfortable, the keybindings are good, its flashy and all but they get easily fucked up so avoid buying them, im currently dealing with my deathadder double clicking its side buttons and left click.
Im considering replacing it with the steelseries rival.
IMO as a fancy mouse owner they're not really that important you don't need more than 900-1200 dpi on a mouse, you can play just as good with a 10 dollar laser mouse, your only reason to buy a fancy mouse is:
1)comfort
2)customization (buttons,binds)
3) swag

Most of this stuff is overpriced crap and I for a fact know that a lot of the highest rated players use really simple shit. None of this will help you to improve your game in the slightest and having a 10K DPI mouse that costs the world is not worth it.
1. Comfortable mouse either

they are good for extended periods of game play due to a very ergonomic design and soft push click so you're not over straining your wrist.
2. A soft touch keyboard is a must.
Less compression is more and trying something like a logitech or again a microsoft keyboard should suffice and having like a £400 set with everything programmable isn't worth the money.
I have an apex keyboard that I got as a gift because the assumption was I would be able to program cool stuff on it but truth be told I have basically two programmed macro keys that I use for chen and visage so not anything I couldn't have done using legacy keys on a normal keyboard.

Good mouse is for FPS games.
Good keyboard is for MOBA, i think you should focus on getting better keyboard rather than getting better mouse
For mouse i would stick with Logitech G300 since it can be used by both left handed and right handed people and because it's very cheap in Australia, i found one with $29.
The price is varies between countries but for alternative G400s is recommended, don't get the G400 because it had cable problem from the people posting at the review.

I only use 6 of the 12 buttons. All inventory slots are on the mouse wich is very very comfy, if you get used to it. There is no too much. You are not forced to use all 12. You can go with 6, and its still comfi. Quality is nice, price is ok. The ouroboros is just shit. Friend of mine has it, and its overexpensive and not comfi at all. He regrets buying it.

Yes, without mouse u can't play. But... is a good mouse important to play dota? Not as much as many people think, cause a good mouse only give you a bit more precision and more button that u can have on the keyboard. But if u are noob (like me) and dota is your first PC game or simply you are used to get some key in your mice, you will need a ''gamer mouse''
So, for play a MOBA you will only need a mouse with the current buttons, and maybe 2 or 3 buttons more, cause have macros or try to get all in your mouse is simply stupid in dota.
