sam it got implemented long after we got calibrated, but I have only ever played one account so all I know is from stories from boosters and sellers.
after some guy sandboxed and abused calibration to get 7.4k mmr it got patched
It got implemented in March when there was inflation of 6k and 7k mmr accounts. People would simply play in parties till lvl13 and then sandboxed in calibration games. And they put to limitation so you have to play 40 unranked games.
