Can we make KDA independent from Winrate? in General Discussion

Currently, KDA is a very pointless statistic, because your winrate directly affects it. Having a high Winrate automatically gives you a high KDA and having a low winrate automatically gives you a low KDA.

There is however a possibility to make it independent from winrate: By splitting it up into two different values. KDA when winning and KDA when losing. This would be a far more interesting stat to see.

In addition to that, I'd really like to have the average Kills/Deaths/Assists per game with the hero back. It was pretty great to analyze why my KDA seemed so low: Although I had a lot more average kills than any other or most other OD players, my average amount of Deaths was very high as well. It showed me that my main problem was not that I wouldn't get enough kills, but rather that I'd be too greedy about kills and thus suicide too often. For some reason, that stat got removed, and I'd like to have it back!

Interesting idea, but I think it may lead to bad consequences. Not sure how, but leaving out important data is not a good idea.

I guess if you just add a category for KDA(wins), then that will be fine. Just don't remove the current kda.

That's not true. You may lose and have a very high KDA and vica versa.

whats the point, kda doesnt mean anything unless its lower than 2 or higher than 5-6.
even then it doesn't mean shit, if i wanted great kda i would stack every day with worse players get a tryhard pick and just get kda.

+1, this will force u to remain focused when behind and not start throwing on purpose/give up. Not sure how many people actually give a shit about KDA but if only 2% do then it's a start at least.

We're not leaving it out though. We are just displaying it in a different form. If you have KDA on wins and KDA on Losses and Winrate, you can easily calculate your total KDA. It's just that the total KDA is pretty pointless because it is coupled so strong to winrate.

I mean currently you could leave out the KDA stat completely and just look at a players winrate, and you will already know his KDA in 99 out of 100 cases.
