Yes, playing Dota 2 makes your life more successful, meaningful, and fulfilling. With every mistake you make you must accept in life, just as in Dota, as it may come back and haunt you. So make sure each move you make is like your last to win the game.
League of Legends on the other hand, no. That game will give you Ebola, cancer, and lead you to a unsuccessful life.
It's a good stress reliever if you actually don't care about winning (and I mean "actually") but other than that it won't do anything other than wasting your time and making you an asocial guy. Not to mention people getting REALLY MAD over just a game which is obviously not good for your health.
as anything in life you can learn lots of useful things
or you can sit in 2k bracket complaining about peruvians
Dota becomes unhealthy and injurious when you tryhard. Playing the game casually could be stress relieving though; playing some normal games with your friends, untill they realise that you're a narcissistic flaming asshole Kappa.
i find it can be stressing even if you aren't tryhard and the enemy is and they fuck you over really badly
i added around 100 fb friends per year before i played dota. this year i've added like three people
@oh, it's a grammy :(
nice you making progress, when you start deleting ppl you´re on the best way to 6k.
^^ Yes, no dota causes depressions which causes you to feel bad->eat bad-> do othershit halfhearthedly-> cant think of new hats to buy so no point going to work-> life loses all meaning.
Having a hobby is healthy
Dota is not healthy or unhealthy. It is a form on entertainment and is all what you make it to be. It's like saying video games or tv in general are unhealthy, too big a generalization. Although dota tends to be slightly more of an addictive type game, but it is still not borderline exploitative like the candy crushes of the world or world of warcraft.
I can't help but bring up Dendi's quote "One way to forget about pain is to do something you will be in completely". Almost everytime I have been stressed, afraid or felt mental pain in some other way a game of Dota made me forget about it. It's like drugs, just better.
But it's also a personal journey. Just like your life. Helps you test new boundaries and change your own mental state in a very inexpensive and accessible way. When you see someone pointing out a mistake (flaming you) and you evaluate that in a constructive and enlightened way instead of just dismissing it (mute button) or striking back at the guy who pointed out the mistake (dont talk dude u are fucking 0-6) you know that Dota is helping you to become a better person.
19y virgin never had a girlfriend and i'm happy anyway, no cons to dota.
(and a little fatty and muscless)
once ur brain can function well u can be healthy by playing doto and having a real life and bang some grills
so plis check ur brain usage first and then u can see if you meet the requirements for a healthy life
report
I think of Dota 2 as like golfing. It's somewhat of a character building game, but potentially there can be sometimes where the game gets really irritating and you could end up tilting.
If u have health issues, i dont recommend u playing this game :D I never raged playing a computer game before, till i started to play Dota :)
I want to kill everyone that Valve has forced me, through its broken matchmaking, to play Dota with. I have lost faith in the human race and anything I don't have complete control over.

Simple question, and please avoid the obvious "too much dota is bad". Of course it's bad, that's what too much means.
What i'm asking here is, in your perspective, what's the pros and cons of playing dota regarding your health.
And by health i mean mood, mental state, etc. Do you think it's a great mental exercise, do you feel it's a draining experience?
TLDR: Title
