It might be just me but most of the new invoker videos are just really underwhelming. Oh, look. A sunstrike kill, with a coldsnap.
Well efficient play =/= flashy play, most of Grimorum's videos were low level games so he had a lot of freedom to go aghs refresher. It's kinda impossible to play this way at 6k
btw probably Don John will see this thread so I want to ask him: why Phase for exort Invoker? I just think Treads are strictly better but I may be wrong.
I totally agree but when making a video, low skill or not, known player or not, I like seeing flashy. Besides taking the invoker vs invoker player out of the convo I have seen people stomp games with 2 skills all game as invoker. Good hero, don't need to use all the spells to make him valuable.
There's a reason why some people play 7000 invoker games and still can't crack leaderboard or maintain above 5300 mmr tier or some people can play 600 games and still be stuck in the "normal bracket" shit tier.
To play at a high level and be able to carry your team filled with teammates 1500 MMR lower than you, it's all about efficient play, and the beauty of playing a high level invoker involves:
-Correct positioning
-Mana management
-Microing
-Laning competency
-Cool Down Management
-Map awareness
-Game sense
-Item Choice
-Reflex
Etc....These are things you can't fully derive from a highlight vid.
It's easy to play a more visually appealing invoker, I have thousands of games with Aghanims since my Dota 1 days, but it doesn't win me games when my style is about solo ganking and creating space.
He's 32 years old, and I do have a friend who is in his 30s playing meepo with 6500 MMR so that's a shitty excuse.
Im 26. Kyle is like 30 some I think with a bad wrist. Give him a break. He's still playing dota, most of us will be on this same path.

-player B does not
although both are in their 30s, they are completely different
high solo mmr means you can carry your low mmr team well and thats great, but I don't think you would do well if everyone in the game are 6000 mmr. I don't see you winning any tournaments
