Are you getting the error message on dotabuff or on steamcommunity.com? Are you able to invite friends on Steam?
It looks like you were able to get it set up. Did you find out what it was or do anything different than before?
I can't get it to work, either. It says "We were unable to confirm your friendship. Please try again." on dotabuff.com.

Weird...I tried several times yesterday and it didn't work at all. I tried once today and it did work.

Non dota plus member, got selected for the beta, but every bot I try to add gives me the "error adding friend try again". I've probably tried like 100 different ones.
Really poor setup IMO. I emailed support and got no answer.
