TBH, It's not as difficult as you think. All you need is to play and grind a lot if worse comes to worst.
stop trying to be a number and just try to be a better player. Focus on one game at a time.
Helps to get really good with one of a few heroes (TA or meepo for example)
general guides (warding, f.e.) are surprisingly useful. watching streams sometimes helps. trying your best in an game also helps you to improve.

well im not sure... its how fast u really start getting better.. the faster u get better the faster u will climb
but there are some people that just play dota 1 since forever and dota 2 since release and they are still at 2-3k
On what account? Cus the one you posted on hasn't played in forever and has a years worth of games with sub 50% win rate ranked. So that account has plateaued. If someone's been playing over a year and isn't winning more than 50% it's unlikely they'll improve much.
I think I play too much Lanaya, but the hero is baller as fuck so I don't give a fuck

I can give you advice, if u want to get higher mmr, start the game and think about to play 5-10 games in row (or per day but try to play in row all games). Try to play your best hero/role. If u are on winning strike after 5-10 games, never surrender, always start new game and play till loose (if u can). if u get angry, quit and do something funny :D then come back. If u write these few rules on paper and respect them, u will go higher (if u are good u gonna be 5k in month). I think that discipline (and your skills ofc) guarantee succes.
i can give u pro tips how to become profesional pub player
1. this is team game so less ego more cooperation with ur team
2. communication is key to succes if u call shots via mic to ur team chances that u will win increase by like extra 15% (of u have to know what to call instead of dumb 5 man pushed mid to get wiped)
3. play least likable roles so ur team mates gets into their comfort zone (if no supports pick support)
4. try to make ur team positive at all times even if being utterly raped flaming each other = 80% lose
prettymuch if u follow this u can easily reach 7k as long as u got skills to perform at that level (also remember that there are games that impossible to win no matter what)
