u should simply study the best players...there might be certain things that u cant comprehend yet but it's better than learning a few right stuffs but many more wrong stuffs from 2-4k players...
I'm actually all for this idea but not because of op's reasoning.
If the player rankings were localized to division then that would fix a big part of how terrible the rankings are in the first place (pro division ruining the rankings).

Currently the top 100 player list for each hero contains only Professional and Diamond rated players -- and rightfully so. It would be nice, however, to drill down into specific division brackets when viewing the player rankings.
Playing styles and builds change as a player develops their skill. A lot of this comes from experience in which items and play-styles work better. But it is also an adaptation of the sub-meta that exists at the various skill levels. Strategies that exist in pro games do not directly translate to strategies played at the 2k pub level.
While it's absolutely nice to see the cream of the crop, there is also benefit in checking out the better talent within one's own skill bracket. For example a Bronze-2 rated Queen of Pain player might want to study some Bronze-10 (or even Silver) players in order to get ideas on how to improve.
