get level 7, enjoy non-stop farm with dark pact. you dont need additional splash+hp reg+mana reg for 4k gold.
Every hero can use battlefury and I'm pretty sure it's a waste on Slark. If you want mana regen get an orchid instead. Sure it is situational but you are better off with it.
you need early stat on slark (mainly for hp), so a drum or sny is a must.
also as triple said at lvl 7 you have maxed dark pact (optimal build) and farm stacks fast enough.
with bf an treads at min 15 you would be a useless shit that can do nothing but hit creeps and die during 1 disable, but with a sny and treads its a different story.
^ i would get sb or dagger as most important core item rather than s&y. i know u can dissamble it later, but yasha seems like a waste of gold imo. aquila(+possibly wand) is nuff stats and u rather need a tp breaker like basher and/or skadi after mobility item.
i usually get drum instead of sny because i can't farm it fast enough in pubs due to many factors and then i get sb.
this is done by min 12-15.
i used to go aquila and wand but i end up selling them way too fast for bigger items, although ofc it depends on the game.
the build i had most success with was pt>basi>drums>sb.
i had a streak where i went from aroun 4400 to ~4900 with just the same build.
Maybe I need to build drums more often on heros? I usually just build it on ck , however I see a lot of people promoting drums , I guess It has just always looked like a weak item to me on paper altho I really like it on ck.
man, you build drum, why do you go sb then ? just go glimmer cape, you have those early +9 int, cann't really call about mana problem.

On all but a handful of heroes, BF is a farming tool. BF does make quite a bit of GPM more than a midas, but it's made primarily for mid and late-game outfarming of the enemy carry.
If you're going Midas/BF; get it very early, or don't get it at all.
BF is worth the same gold as drums+ shadowblade, and the "get it early" reason is retarded, with 10 min shadowblade drums you can win the game easily, with 10min bf you are useless

Why it is not played every game? He becomes a better antimage you can spam jump and Q 24/7. And after that go for stats and BOOM a fucking destroyer machine.
