While I understand what you mean, I keep myself really open minded, I listen to classical to hip hop, to heavy metal to drum&base etc.
but these "new" music ppl listen to now in this hip hop genre is shocking, its like those "rappers" cant bind 2 words together in less than 10 minutes lol

ofc being open minded is a good thing. i still think that music/rappers/artists can be contempary and dont have/want to be liked by everyone. thats part of the deal - when i was young, i wanted to listen to music, which my parents/teachers/the adults hated.
