Do dud as 4.5 I did fine vs a 6k dp, she does destroy refraction but TA still has sick dmg output
In the past TA demolished DP in lane, but with Syphon added this matchup becomes much harder. Syphon wrecks melee heroes and Lanaya is technically not melee but she's has shortest range in the game even with two points in her passive. Syphon deals good damage, slows and is a heal. It's charge based and it's a DoT. In case DP gets ganked, Syphon can save or turn the fight and in case DP gets a rotation Syphon can net her a kill. Margin for error is smaller for Lanaya player. This is for lanining stage. But later in the game DP is a problem as well, Syphon and ulty deal too much damage and pierce BKB and DP's usual items consists of Phase, Eul, Shiva and OC which give MS, disable/disengage, armor, AS/MS slow and HP/heal, that's everything TA hates playing against. Also DP is a hero played as a part of 5 men Dota which again is bad for TA. Would advise against picking into DP unless you are really confident.
so its impossible to win against a dp? though my theorycrafting led me to do the le ole dragonfist ta with phase drums yasha once i get that match up again.
Nothing is impossible, but odds aren't in your favor. Played that matchup a couple of times and didn't do well. Not big enough sample to say for sure but I kinda know what Lanaya can do and would avoid playing versus DP. I also wrecked some TAs with DP.

With phase u can ezly run away from siphon
And like vs viper as TA u should always have creeps between you and the enemy
If you play as TA against heroes which can disable your refraction, (ember, pudge, DP) you should max meld, they have nothing to do against that ammount of damage. at level 5 , 3 points on meld its insane.
i'm not sure what happens when dp uses two siphons in the row
i guess you die if you wont run away with phases (+wand?)

TA has very low chances of winning mid against dp, you're better off just stacking/jungling and waiting for dp to push the lane. Though its defenetly possible to kill DP when you are level 6 with phaseboots, cause you will most likely out damage her.
You should never max melt over refraction, even against pudge etc..
it's fun tho, playing like a moron so you get hooked and suddenly he gets two shotted

I think TA is a poor matchup, but what do I know.
I think OD, invoker can hold the lane vs her.
She's a bitch cus she takes towers so fast with her ult so she doesn't really fall off late, but whatever you do don't feed her. She is impossible to stop if she snowballs, but your late game carrys can light her up if you don't feed her and defend your towers decently.
^ She kind of fall of late game once the ACs and Shivas on your team are out. She isn't exactly super late game material. Granted, her pushing power will still be formidable.
i'm always cursing dp when i get killed by her on mid but i don't actually remember seeing her winning games

^Until 6K mmr people don't know how to 5 man push and don't communicate either, I guess that might be the reason. DP also needs associated draft for 5 man
I think the best build on TA rn is the desolator rush>smoke rosh then you proceed to fuck evryone on sight. Best timing is around 12min. Ofc you get all this economy with ancient stacks, and possibly hard camp stacks from willing supports (which I rarely get fml)
You should just farm semi passively against DP anyway, e-q-e makes sense cz dp is unlikely to get lvl 2 siphon at lv3
Just learn to zone her with psiblades youll be fine
