If I were you I would look at the meta heroes if anything. 6.87 is incoming and the best supports may or may not change. Focus on improving support gameplay instead of what support to play.
Riki is good support. Meka and Euls very good item on him. Other team be like wow how you heal? Report for cheating.
Bounty Hunter. Guardians + urn = and he is good healer + tracks + some damage + useful situational items like orchid/halberd, which he can rush really fast + free vision/easy roaming with invis. Just check 5k+ breket, second winrate place after omni http://www.dotabuff.com/heroes/meta
