I like it more now cus I know what I'm doing! But sometimes less cus I have way less time to play.

i liked it when i started a lot more, like 2 years and something ago.
i could play 14 games a day and now i donät even play 14 games a month lolz

I think I enjoyed it more when I started because everything seemed so unique, outplaying someone with a hero you were learning and you felt like the best "X hero" player, then you improve and notice that everyone is able to do the same things you were doing and it becomes more stressful because it comes down to who does things better on a more consistent basis than the rest. I still enjoy the game so much but I feel like the first few weeks were the most amazing ones.

It seems the majority liked the way it was when they first started playing.
I agree with LeFlash, I remember the first time I played against a bloodseeker, he destroyed my team and I was like woah!!

Back in the day when I first started playing it was a load of fun.

Even though I mainly only played axe/razor it was a load of fun. I would lose and still have fun.

I just play pubs now, but I remember MMR became the only thing that mattered (2 months ago) then it literally drained all the fun out of it, I went from roughly 1.9 to 4.2K MMR, and pretty much stopped, I only play party ranked and normal unranked now.

That did allow me to have more fun at least, but nothing compares to when I first started in 2014, and playing unranked pubs all that year alone (sometimes with friends, but it was rare, they either played league, barely played dota, or were much better and didn't want to play with a scrub) I remember being mesmerized by the main menu music, the way it harmoniously blended seamlessly with the interface, and brought the world of Dota to life, especially after seeing the shop keeper intro. This happened everytime I turned on Dota, and the feeling I got from doing the Dragon Knight and Sniper tutorial was pleasant, I'd always with they created a second 3v3 map (similar to league) based on that Sniper tutorial map in the rain.

I started back in 2014 july with a 8 month gap recently. I'm actually liking it more now because I ahve freidns to party with, so it's much more fun

any1 started play since dota1 , dagon + blink dagger is the meta and carry using any heroes. besides , i really miss the curve hook from pudge ..

i start playing dota1(6.27-6.8....something) wayback 2007-2014 and dota2 on 2014.

Back then in dota1 my best build for Mirana was 6 platemale, so I can tank creeps and push towers all day and nobody gives a damn, then later on in Dota1 I started building radiance on Riki (best build on Riki, just saying) then I quit, now just started Dota 2 a couple month ago.

I started back in 2014 and spent a whole summer playing doto in my grandparents attic on a shitty laptop. Since then I've taken several breaks, including my longest of over a month recently. I'm just coming back into the vame but don't want to overcommit to relearning because 6.87 suspected in the next 2 weeks so don't want to spam a hero thats getting nerfed.

I started dota2 at 6.84, I just played Lina all day everyday and one shot ppl, then Lina got nerfed and I started playing sf in 6.85, now I'm playing invoker and od mostly.( gotta catch up with the meta)

Couldn't tell ya. I loved it back then cuz I didn't really care about anything, except for me to have fun. But also, the heroes of the metta back then were cancer.
Now the games suck cuz I care about improving, but sometimes the game goes full-retard, but at least the heroes are a bit more versatile.

now is nice because of the matchmaking system and anti-leaver
wc3 was difficult to get a decent 5v5 game, you could get a bad host, randoms from the wrong country who would lag out, leavers, not to mention anyone of any skill could join. because of this, pubs were pretty much casual only, only if u played inhouses or inhouse leagues or RGC you could get good matches
