is it cause he has poor starting stats and his razes and attack damage fall off quite a lot?
cant farm fast cause of raze mana cost and magic res jungle stacks
cant kill heroes cause of raindrop
but he's being played cause of requiem not as much the rightclick (regarding drow... there isn't really a spell that matches up with requiems damage and it also provides sustain for teh shadowfiend a lot with aghanims)
and bottle with tread switch does let him use the razes almost freely but that is a valid point
and if you get small orange creep and small centaurs stacked it does get hard.
He used to be strong back when he could flash farm the jungle. Get a good Mek timing and push. Strong mid game hero. Not so stronk mid game anymore
Terrible hero, one of the easiest heroes to gank, no survivability, escape, or disable. Pathetic starting armor and hp. The only good thing about SF before was his high right click damage from souls and how he could easily accumulate them by razing stacked camps. But ever since the magic resistance aura buff to neutrals, SF can't even clear them fast enough.
On lower mmr works as everything :D no i think he isn't that bad saw ppl carry team with him SB, agh - deals tons of dmg but ppl on your mmr would be propably try hard wards after you finish sb, eul also good but just for solo killing, some pro said back in the days he is very ez to play but very hard to master him
He is recently seeing more pay at Boston majors tho. Euls gives enough mana to farm with raze, and a way to reliably solo kill.
blink is still quite superior to both sb and eul though (not saying you can't have both)
if you get an epic start you can early solo kill people using triple raze combo (with blink you can do it every time) and a few rightclicks, and it allows you to make perfect requiems in teamfight... while also greatly increasing farm efficiency.
that's 7 slots. i guess youd be dropping eul for travels (or i guess you can courier refresher but thats a lot of pressure in a teamfight)
later in the game its only useful for eul-blink juke.
howver its real funny when invoker euls himslef to dispel and yu surprise blink under him and requiem trolololo
well if we are stating preferences mine is likewise skadi or some other item that grants you EHP and/or sustain followed by a DPS item.

like you can make build of blink-hurricane-aghs as the core items, seeing how those items have almost 60% winrate on him...
