Depends if you are going full hc or not. Some line ups (mostly off lane void) run as you said, poor mans, treads, vlads, blink...as a hard carry you need first an item that can keep you alive...in the TI shadow showed that Lynkenz on void is a bitch to deal with early cause force the enemy team to gank you with 3 heroes at least to guarantee a kill if not they may fail horribly, lose time and maybe give the chance to your team to counter gank even if void has no chrono. I would recommend you to watch a video in you tube named "shadow 1 million dollar chrono" (i am at work and you tube is blocked if not i would linked you the video) and there you can see the timing on his items altho as far as i remember he doesnt get vlads on that match...you can also enter my profile and see my games as void, sadly lately not being doing very good as void but i hope my answer helps

early game items should be poor man's shield, Ring of basilius, boots of speed and magic wand (iron talon if you're having a hard time in the offlane or if you have extra money. Then go power treads to vlads, these will be your core items. Depending on the situation, you can either go Manta or Blink first.

Note that This is the usual or general build for offlane void. Then your call on what's next, diffusal, bloodthorn, something that can make you useful as an offlaner.

11-13 min vlads is VERY good, a couple minutes later isnt awful. tbh i dont pay much attention to item timing usually, just keep in mind that u will spike in power at lvl 6 7 and 9 mainly, when you hit 6 always carry a tp and watch lanes because chrono is super easy way to turn any engagement

usually dont go for basi get the headress instead, lets you trade hits more easily

buy iron talon EVERY GAME NO EXCEPTIONS

NEVER get manta before diffusal, this is how to be completely useless in pubs because you want to do damage and chase people and manta helps almost 0 compared to diffusal

Good farm would be 9-11 min for treads and vlads, after that diffusal around 17-19 minutes and to crush the game 25-27 minute vlads are all good timings at least from my expierence.
After that buy what you need, mkb, majolner, assault cuirass, butterfly

so more than the timings i should be focusing more on my power spikes

i guess i should rephrase my other question, what i meant to ask was that what item should i get after diffusal; manta or blink? or is that game dependent?

if you MUST catch a tinker or some shit you can get blink after diffusal, expect to need ur teams help to clean him up

i very rarely end up going blink, i probably shoudl get it more tbh

shadow blade is basically a compromise between blink and manta, you can still catch people out of position and easy kills but you aren't locked into a 0 stat utility slot.

once you get shadow blade silver edge is almost mandatory, 2400 gold for +15 stats 8 damage and 4 second CD reduction + break is insane value

If im going shadowblade will my progression look something like diff-sb-manta-silver edge or do i upgrade it before manta

sometimes u can get sb before diffusal, otherwise it would be diff sb SE then manta usually

after a certain point its all on a per-game basis, diff manta is the highest damage ur going to get i just find that the extra utility of sb/SE can edge it out in a surprising number of games

shadow blade only against mobile shitheads who can dodge chrono when they expect them, or for 4p1 lineups
you rarely get blink on pos 1 void since your goal is to become a carry that snowballs out of power spikes from item timings, usually SB is the go-to item for catching shitheads as pos 1 void
linken rush is fine on pos 1, depends on the lineup
last item is usually bloodthorn, SE, or butter, basically think what you lack in that situation that can be covered with one item

tbh item timings don't matter that much
you're not AM that basically requires BF before 18 min or the game is pretty much lost
what matters is that you cast your spells correctly to win teamfights, then take objectives, do that consistently to win the game

So is diffusal a core item on Void? I never see much use from it

I would go for the linkens then insta butterfly. With butter you can go solo kill anyone with that. In addition, i will build sb then se to roam around the jungle trying solo kill supp without chrono.

gives more universal uses compared to MoM, BF, or mjolnir

you'd be missing way so many power spikes by afk farming with a hero that doesn't exactly need that much farm
