It is completely situational to your game.

There is no 'this is better' 'this is worse' .. There is a 'This is better for this situation'
Look at your game and adapt.

4-1-4 is your most universal build as it has summons to speed up farming/pushing however it isn't the best in all situations

Quas wex better winrAte in normal skill

Quas wex do not scale well into midgame - (farm efficency and Damage in combos)

why are you trying to compare two vastly different builds that may work or fail when placed in the same scenarios

Situational. This cannot be answered from a general perspective

It all depends on the other team. If its a heavy melee team then i go QW to set up my team, but also remember that if your team doesn't have heavy damage then you might wanna go QE. I usually play QE but QW is really fun to play and really easy to chase the enemy if they are low. Good combo for QW is tornado + ice wall + emp. If you have a drow on your team then i always go QW because drows aura really helps out a lot for last hitting and i can still harass the enemy team. Just feel out the game.

Depends on the enemy heroes and what you have on your team

I go for quas exort like 95% of times.I'd say as a quas exort invoker you farm for the most of early-mid game.Quas Exort invoker usually stays in lane until he farms an important item or too.But as a quas wex invoker you go online pretty faster than quas exort invoker.(you can help with ganks after phase boots and urn.)
So go Quas Exort if your team lacks damage and you need more core score and go quas wex if you have 3+ carries on your team becuase in such situations you are supposed to go online pretty fast and create space for your carries to farm rathar than taking it.

quas wex or quas exort invoker depends what your team lacks.
Do not use the build to counter your opponent.

Quas Exort ( if your team lacks nuke damage)
+provides damage and early kill if u have setup (sunstrike)
+global presence when you farm boots of travel also pressure enemy lanes
+farm ancient easily
+good lane control during laning phase
+scales very well late game
+high damage and secure kills easy if u have initiator ( Faceless/tide/enigma)
- weak to ganks
- but do not use this build if 2 of your team is greedy (LIKE AM or medusa)

QUAS wex ( your team lacks early fight/early kill potential /disables)
+ provides early teamfight and ganks early
+provide space for carry
- invo will have hard time early laning stage and scaling into lategame.

I would say if you are mid against alchemist acid spray better to go quas - exort if he has soul ring. Likewise against phantom assasin mid, quas exort would help against his dagger+jump.

shadow fiend - QE
juggernaut - QE
OD (And basically most intell heroes) - QW
Venom - QE

quas wex is good for newbies for top lane safe or bottom lane safe

quas exort is for mid lane and the hardest

wex exort no one ever use it is for offlaners that uses meteor, defending blast and sun strike

quas wex exort is for situational.
