Yes there's definitely a limit. U might stretch the limit with diligence and hard work but there's always a limit. There's an attribute that u will lack but need to go higher.

edit: technically mmr is a number between 1 and 10000, so you can't get 0 mmr nor 10001
There isn't a limit if u r the best player in the world. Otherwise there's always a limit because u r competing with others and u win or lose based on how others perform. Having an attitude of no limits is different (although it is beneficial to self improvement, which is what cookie describes) to actual limit of how good u can get. Given equal effort there is a high chance someone is just better than you. Unless of course u r the best player in the world.

I think the limit exists, but isn't well-measured with MMR.
I'm pretty sure I will never have Sccc/SumaiL's reflexes or xiao8/ppd's understanding of the game. This isn't a question of practice, but of natural talent. However, anyone with proper practice and willpower and an IQ > 100 can reach a semi-pro (~6k) level.
I think anyone who consciously tries to improve every game for a few years will always be able to get 6K if they put their mind to it. 7K seems like you need talent though.
Some people are like me and just play match after match without trying to find mistakes, slow improvement process. But now i'm trying to improve, been spamming Meepo, Naga, Visage and other hard heroes in unranked on a fuck around smurf, while also analyzing my gameplay. lol
srsly tho limiting urself is the first step to neing limited and not just in dota

Do you believe that every person that play dota they have their own limit. For example a 5k player want to climb to 6k. But no matter how hard he try, train, watch pro and everything else he will not be able to reach 6k because that is his limit. Or you believe that if there is a will and good effort you will climb.
