OFF TOPIC BRUH: I never had headphones w/ mic since the day I played dota and I'm about to buy one, any suggestion with the price maximum of $70 and it can last at least a year, if there is? I don't want to buy again coz im poormanshield. Thanks bruh!

I think it's only really a problem for people who can't type about as fast as they speak.
That is to say, sub 100, or at least 80-90 WPM typers, and to those who can't blind type.

I'm not a mic user and I got high mmr, that being said if you have any intention of playing offlane/support in your ranked games I highly recommend it.

I mean sure, no communication from the team can be a problem, but using mic? It isn't necessarily good, especially in pubs, and even more specifically if they have hard to understand quality, or just plain irritating voices.
That said, I've seen one of my friends taking like half a minute to type a few words sentence, so some people just can not communicate without voice chatting properly.
What a pickle indeed.

Also yeah, my WPM blind is above 100 and that might not be the common speed, but 50-60 is pretty regular among gamers and still should be enough to keep up a communication pace that's favorable compared to random voices.

I was not implying that using a mic had something to do with having a very high mmr, but i think if you don't spam it, it can be very efficient for people like me who doesnt type very fast
