I was a 1k support player that never played ranked and i calibrated at 2.8 instapicking carries only even though im dogshit as carry. just for fun
if you tryhard even a little you get 3k at least, unless you are truly 1k
you won't, because you are not 2.6k with your main.
and if you were a 2.6k player you could get your main to this mmr
The thing with my main was i was stuck at around the 1.6K mark for around 120 ranked games having calibrated at 900, dropping to 500 and then tryharding my way upto 1.6k. I even hit 1.7k. But then back again to 1.6. I went safelane as a carry. My support preferred to rotate bot for more kills leaving me vulnerable. I went support, warding, pulling creeps, harassing in lane when possible, tping to response to a fight, creating space for my carry, stacking ancients, but they didn't seem to take advantage out of it. For example my safelane AM who still doesn't have a battlefury 18 minutes into the game. Should be farming camps, pushing lanes but instead jumps into a fight, thinking he can take his opponent on. The problem i think in games in my bracket is farm efficiency.
yeah thats an important point...if you cant climb out of your current mmr you will drop back 100%
I started a 700 mmr this october, went all the way down to 300 mmr. And now I am at 2.5k solo mmr in international ranked after calibrating 1.6k (which was my solo mmr at the time). I think that recalibrating is not going to help you one bit. If I have learned one thing from getting from sub 1k to 1k and then to 2k, then it is on how to adapt to your team and the game in general.
People that recalibrate usually stay around their calibration after a while, whilst they are trying really hard. But they will eventually fall off a bit. Because they should not be at their supposed mmr.
My friends kept telling me to just make a new account. But that doesnt help you one bit.
But good luck I guess. Just try to be friendly towards your teammates, and if you cant play the role you want. ADAPT.
Id love to play whatever I want every game. But that is just not how public matches work. You have to support every once in a while. But if you do, know that your carries probably wont take full advantage of your actions. I only stack with a sven on my team, since even the dumbest sven players know that stacking camps is favourable. And if you have an anti mage on your team. Help him dominate the first min IN lane. And if he seems to be capable of freefarming, gank other lanes. Otherwise, tell him to get a quelling blade and just babysit the equilibrium. Pull when needed and harass when possible (BTW, zoning is the end goal of harassment. If an axe has a ring or tranquils, hitting him every 20 sec makes no difference whatsoever)
just remember to carry a TP scroll to rotate as soon as a lane gets ganked (mid mostly), and buy wards whenever you can / want to push / avoid a lane from being vunerable. Thats how far I've come since I started playing.
lul, git gud first
whats the point of calibrating 1k points above your real mmr, if your just going to drop down anyway

if u want to get mmr so much. play unraked only and having vhs on unrank.
after that buy bp and calibrate in inter ranked.
if u are good enough u can calibrate to 4.9k
more worth it rathen than playing on smurf acc
I'll get 5k this year, i hope but too much school work every day, only got time to play on sundays

This is my smurf account, my main, 1.6k. I'm looking to calibrate at least around the 2.6k-2.7k mark.
