Can we get a filter for player rankings that only uses matches from the current patch? I feel like this would be very useful and make the top ranked players more relevant. An example of why I'm bringing this up - Pirate, the top ranking Sand King player with the most games played, has only played 2 games since patch 8.86s. He barely qualifies to be on the rankings by playing 1 game in the past 30 days, and the game has changed so much that his matches don't hold any value for current DOTA 2 players. I'm not picking on Pirate either, this is just 1 of MANY similar cases. ODD.w33 has played and lost a single game on Sand King since 8.81b, he hasn't played a significant amount of Sand King since 2014! Heres a short list of the irrelevant "top 15 Sand King players" that have played less than 10 games since 7.00 (7 Months) - iG.Xxs, EG.Cr1t, coL.Moo, Newbee.kaka, Liquid.gh... including ODD.w33 and Pirate, that's 7/15 people that represent the top of the top, yet have barely played Sand King in the new build.
I'd love to be able to view the players with the most games played on Sand King and other specific heroes since 7.00, because they would have great insight on how to play their hero as best they know. I hope the mystical Dotabuff genie finds this thread and brings relevance to the hero rankings statistics.
