playing on 1440p 165hz feels super smooth with stable 220fps, cannot spot the difference between IPS and TN panels except better color representation and viewing angles. the difference of response rate 1ms and 4ms is not noticable for me.
didnt regret buying these babies.
@cookie RGB is cool if you play with room light off, im still waiting my corsair lightning nodes to be shipped, its gotta be more colorful
that's why i disable them, they're fucking distracting me in the dark
Actually to get good performance at those refresh rates, you need good CPU. GPU is overkill in terms of dota 2 in your build. I personally use 7700k for my 165hz monitor.
As for 7k, you can't (and won't) get 7k with 1 hero. That's not how dota 2 works.

5k player knows how to get 7k guys
I'm not sure how obvious it is, but it should be, that this, is smurf account indeed m8.
well then u are just stupid cause i know plenty of people who reached 7k by spamming a hero
also sick 54% winrate smurf im sure u are way better than 5k
I said that OP will not get 7k by spamming 1 hero. I generalized that idea by saying that it's not how dota 2 works, but still i'm talking about OP. As for my personal bracket/skill i'm currently at 6.3k and i don't see anything bad about it.
your case stands on the wrong side.... (mouse versus case 24/7?)
btw... setup at home and pc on the table? why????
^thanks
^^ i used to place my casing at bottom of the desk, or the left hand side, but to enjoy the color more i just placed it above the table.
im still looking for a good desk for dual monitor
I supose he have speakers to use them when he is alone in the house, or when he invites his friends to a party or something like that.
Your monitor looks like a 27" instead of 24, nice widescreen, I prefer IPS over TN panels, but your setup is great, untill 2016 every year I Spent my money on hardware, but now I'm spending it on travelling, but maybe the next year I will change my actual hardware.
^ my monitor is 27" asus pg279q; its a nice ips monster.
^^^ i didn't bother upgrading my speakers in fact, just put it there mainly for ps4/switch or when i feel restricted by headsets
13 more hz and hopefully FPs. seems like an overkill upgrade for 10% diff still any upgrade is nice!
I might do benchmark from 980s to 1080 soon.
have you felt any difference? I find anything over 120 hz Buggs dota and especially GSYNC.
which kinda is a must evn if you go IPS. which one kinda shouldt ^^ since responstimes.
aaah, I thought it was the benq, Yeah, Ips for the win! Mine's Asus mx279h
the fuck u mean anything above 120hz buggs dota? I play on 180hz and gsync and I never had any problems, it feels so fucking smoooooooth
im on gsync 200 fps with 165 hz refresh rate 1440p, feels very good.
i tried to push to the limit, and with invoker icewall/meteor multiple meteors fps will drop consistently, while most of the time it feels smooth.
i cannot feel the difference of the response rate of 1ms and 4ms. maybe its just too fast. didnt test csgo yet.
I turned off vsync on my 60hz monitor and got around 100 fps but the game felt like it was stuttering or less smooth, choppy. Is that expected?
have long arms so my arms would feel quite cramped with the keyboard and mouse positioning. would have to move the computer off the desk, center the monitor and offset the keyboard + mouse towards the edges of the desk. even with that change my legs would still feel uncomfortable because of the cubby on the lower left of the photo. also like to have my back against the wall so i can view the rest of the room as to not feel like im anymore cramped in a corner than i already am.
nice pc tho.
any thoughts on this budget build from 4 yrs ago if it's just for dota 2: https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/1jf2y6/need_a_new_pc_for_dota_2_300_is_all_you_need/cbe1njs/
initially i thought i would hv issue with the mouse pad and movement in general, but i increased dpi to 2.2k, just need a small room for mouse , so thats fine for me.
btw i struggled alot with fps [accidentally hv windows 10 gaming mode on], and also problem came in after 2nd day with fps dropping to 100-160 during fight, and after tweaking all day, finally im getting 200 fps stable even on reef terrain maxed out.
for anyone installing new gpu, make sure u do clean boot, clean installation, and also reinstall dota 2. reinstalling dota 2 fixes the fps issue for me.
^ your pc has no issue playing with 1080p 60fps for sure. if you have budget i suggest going for 144hz dota 2 experience. u can get used gtx 980 / gtx 1060, and an i7, with cheap 144hz aoc/acer.
I don't get ppl who play with vsync, they must be crazy or have no idea what that option does. I WOULD NEVER EVER PLAY WITH IT! It creates input lag. It's hard to explaing this, but it's awful, I'd rather have screen tearing than play with vsync, good thing is this video really shows it well.
