I think d9 is just going about it wrong the entire panel is him asking explain to me this and what makes this hero good. Theres just nothing entertaining about it, and the panel feels like its the noob stream panel and not the actual panel. D9 is just pandering too much to the noob stream.
Haven't seen new panel but from wat I understand his style is good because he gets the panel to explain a lot of unsaid stuff about Dota that high mmr folks on the panel might overlook. Bear in mind most ppl watching TI would probably be around 2k.
And panel is meant for discussion and analysis of the game for Casuals to understand. So in theory it sounds good
im around 2k and i find the constant questions to be really annoying because most of them are fairly easy to see and I'm pretty sure he knows the answer to half of them so hes just asking for the benefit of the noob stream. Also the incessant questions leave the panel with no banter and entertainment. It's just high level players answering questions for someone on a lower level.
He asks too much questions and always cut the others chit chat off just to start another question or make someone else talk.
If they replace Akke with someone else more talkative, they could overpower the host and start their own talk rather than being puppet around with his questions.
I'm watching ti7 for the hype and thrill but now the panel's just started an educational Q&A. I don't even remember what they talked about worth learning.

They should rotate the panel throughout the day is the problem. They are all ok but watching them all day long is tiring. Merlini is the only one who doesn't get annoying after about three hours.

Yep the analysis is very dota 101. They aren't getting deep at all. The most insightful thing said all day yesterday was about resolution being a traditional hard carry who makes teams play around him while most other position 1s have acquiesced to their mid player like rtz to sumail, mutumbaman to miracle etc. Other borderline insightful thing was ppd talking about dark seer's place in the meta and why he doesn't like him cus he is a greedy offlaner who farms, doesn't make space really.
And ppd talking about sumail's prep and state of mind before tournaments was moderately interesting. That's it. Rest is like oh AA is a good pick here cus he counters alch, or oh they don't have enough team fight they should pick enigma. It's fucking boring, I could do a better job.
I also don't think any of them have referenced stats at all. Nahaz was AWESOME at bringing in the current stats, like just look up who's winning in group stage or when they pick visage go jesus christ visage is winning like 20% of games at TI bad pick. Numbers always make things more interesting.
I honestly think someone like bulldog wud have made a world of difference in making the panel interesting

Yeah cus they think they transcend stats but you know what you don't. The reason they don't like them is cus a bad team will pick like qop 3 games in a row and ruin her win rate, but then the pros with their egos think qop isn't a bad pick it's bad players let's roll with it. And they pick it and lose.
you either need a big sample or be very specific when giving your analysis on stats. There are too many variables and unfortunately that sad fuck Nahaz fails on that and makes every other retard around listening to him think the same noob shit. I'm glad PPD put him in his place.
