I've played Dota on both Cherry MX Blues and Reds. From that experience, I definitely preferred my older MX Blue keyboard. The tactile bump and click from MX Blues was satisfying and a joy to play Dota 2 on. That being said, the MX Blues are noisy as hell, but still my favorite.
Probably red but I'm not the kind of person who would bother paying more just to play better
I use a piece of cardboard that I drew on with permanent marker, it's the best keyboard I've ever used 10/10 would recommend.
@ywn- yep, it doesnt matter, i know what you mean. but for me it matters coz the pc that my mother is using, the keyboard broke so i plan to buy a new keyboard then i give this keyboard to him.
@Joey I might give the cherry mx blues a try. I've watched a couple of reviews in youtube but loudness doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I enjoy listening to it XD
blues are super loud i had to switch to red cause my brother could hear them in his right across from mine
I wonder how much mmr those keyboards will give to me. I'm only using normal keyboards. Fuck, I don't even have a keyboard. I'm only playing in shitty Internet shops.
When I first got my browns, I was misblinking and miscasting spells a lot because my button pressing and cursor movements are out of sync. The actuation point is like half way before you bottom out the key unlike normal keyboards.
Browns are already loud af don't get blues.
The actuation point not being at the bottom is also annoying to play with if you're trying to press stuff efficiently as it makes it harder to gain good muscle memory. And the "tactile feeling" for Browns are super minute where you have to push it slowly to feel it.
Find a switch that doesn't have this dumb early actuation point feature imo.
there's no switch that's specifically good for dota, use whatever's most comfortable for you
i'm using quickfire tk w/ reds personally
I use gatreon greens, cherry blues, and gateron clears.. Any of the tactile switches are fine I wouldn't recommend brown or reds though.
@Wyes What are your thoughts about blacks? Any recommendation?
Everything is by preference.
I prefer browns. (@Above idk what you're typing in but browns are not supposed to be loud at all. They're actually the best for office environments because it's not as obnoxious as the others)
Look up videos on typing tests for the different switches

planning to buy my very first mechanical keyboard later this month but can't decide which switch is suited for dota 2. Feel free to share some thoughts, ideas and opinions.
