What do you do when a person rage quits tho? I mean is it our fault the player on my team has low tolerance for dying so much? Is it my fault for not saying "Hey we can still win, don't rage quit you can do it!" ? I'm not a therapist I'm a player. If a player cannot handle the game then its not up to his teammates to give reassuring advice he will ignore. Icefrog's way of balancing this? "Hurr durr i'll just give the 4 players a slight gold tick bonus, that's fair!"

But 9 Lives! There have been games where 4v5 can be won!

oh REALLY FCK ME IN THE AHOLE I DIDN'T KNOW. THANKS DISREGARD THIS WHOLE THING THEN.

Count how many games have been won/lost in a 4v5 scenario then come back and talk to me.

But 9 Lives! Your teammates aren't the only ones that rage quit, I've also had teammates who rage quit, its just part of dota".

    That's not a solution.

What I'm saying is, there really are times where we just cant always blame ourselves. However, yeah we get it your had bad teammates that's dota deal with it.

This comes off as very disingenuous when you are spending more time in LPQ than almost literally anyone.

Its just a general statement, I would say this even if I was never in lp.

        chicken spook,,,,

People won't flame if you don't play bad
People can play worse than they usually do if you flame
So don't play bad and don't talk too much, I guess, being a nice guy while still going 0-8 won't do any shit

            good job

Ohh so ur nickname was 9 lives

Im really wondering whats that "9 lives" was about before

Most of the time, it is better that your feeding teammate quit than keep playing and feeding.

                    Whats the question?

waah i'm a baby looking for excuses waaah

The reasons why i dont blame or flame my teammates are:

                            1. Its doesn't help
                            2. It's not in my nature
                            3. I think me improving is more beneficial use of time.
                            4. It's doesn't help.

You don't get anything from blaming them anyway so stop doing it

My solution: You get a permanent ban if you have a 5% or higher leave rate over the last X amount of games.

You don't let it till you
If rest of team wants to try 4v5 you play.
If you aren't tillted you que next game.

No it isn't your fault and you don't have to say anything. But helping him in lane or every saying this like that far better then blaming and/or flaming. Ie keep quite or do/say positive things.

                                  Q

Your are right it isn't your your anyone's job but you don't know if its going to be ignored and once again say/doing positive things or staying quite is better that flaming or blaming.

just accept the -25 but not a legitimate defeat. ive had many games lost because my teammate stops playing , im not good enough to win 4v5 with a carry missing, but i still dont feel like i deserve the loss.

                                      inx

YOU COULD STILL DO THINGS BETTER FOR FUCK'S SAKE. BLAMING YOUR TEAM IN NO CASE IMPROVES YOUR GAMEPLAY. IT JUST MAKES U THINK U ARE GOOD OR SOMETHING. WHILE YOU'RE TOO DUMB TO REALIZE THAT YOU'RE SHIT.

nothing special here. ofc there are games that you cant win, what do you mean with that? even 10k-se have prety much a 55-60% winrate, not 100%. those who say " dont blame your team ", it means to not blame your team generaly in long run for your losses , they assume that you will understand that by common sense. yeah it cana be some period times that your team might be usually more responsabile than you about your loss, but this his how matchmaking works, it will balance itself eventually again in long run, but people usually tends to see more the negative side, and often dont realise the games when they got " carried ", team compensated for them.

                                            Stentorian

Sometimes your team is 100% to blame. No question about that.

But in a large sample of games, you're in control of your wins and MMR. You're just as likely to have a good team as you are to have a bad team.
