Most pros usually skip veil these days, they usually get manta as a defensive item for the physical build(which nobody really does anymore), and euls for the magical build

u dont ALWAYS skip veil, like i saw sccc get it quite recently
but u often skip veil and go travels radiance
hes good if ur good and if ur not hes awful
id say yes, however there r times where the enemy just sucks and u misplay a lot and still shit on them
I've seen most people tend towards straight aquila+travels->radiance over veil maelstrom builds. Still a fine hero if you are a good hero and you can survive the laning phase.

manta's p bad most of the time, imo either veil into bots radi or aquila bots mael/radi is decent
