Ench offlane wrecks lycan pretty hard. For pos 1 Sven, bs and tiny are all decent.

i dont think playing against ench offlane is possible for the vast majority of heroes, but i guess untouchable fucks lycan more than most

SHE also steals your necro creep which is really annoying mid game. And since you don’t really build attack speed as lycan or get much naturally apart from helm it’s pretty aids you basically need bkb to hit her.

I believe clinks push faster than a lycan

Clinx doesn't lane as well as lycan, clinx can't split push as safely (lycan has shapeshift)

You don't counter split push by split push

Early counter pushers are decent, stop him from plowing through your towers early and stomping with the momentum. Heroes like Underlord for example. Illusion heroes are great too, also heroes that can trade 1v1 against lycan even transformed like pa and troll.

best way to deal with an op hero is to not play dota until he's nerfed

I haven't played in a couple months. Why exactly is lycan so strong? He hasn't really gotten any buffs, in fact I'd say he was nerfed, his talents just changed a little. Helm of the dominator hp regen has been nerfed too. So what's the deal, just meta change stuff?

Oh yeah I forgot about strength increasing regen. That makes his regen much higher than before despite the nerfs to base values.

ye he is lvl 15 with over 30 base hp regen
with necro giving mana regen he literally never has to back to base

i think the hero is super shit, but WR is really good against lycan. you almost always land the shackle, windrun is good (though it can be purged by the necro now) and powershot is good for scouting and other shit. you can also shoot while running now.

windranger is shit, not lycan. though i think people are overhyping lycan slightly too.

Lycan is devastating right now but not impossible to deal with. The real ywn mentioned some good ones but I would add quite a number of strength carries are good against him, glass cannon ranged damage does absolutely nothing against a lycan.

For supports I would maybe suggest KotL for wave clear, blinding, and leak when he ults, disruptor is good with field glimpse.

...also stop picking sniper against him it's literally the dumbest thing you can do. Every time I pick Lycan someone on the other team instant picks sniper, it literally doesn't phase me.

Also for people looking to play lycan please get a helm. God bless.

kotl sounds REALLY good imo he does well against both things

Yeah, the insane regen is the problem. Imagine Dragon Knight with 3rd skill as aura now. With Helm and Vlad, his and his creeps will have insane health regen. And alongside Desolator and Necronomicon, he can single-handedly out-push 3 heroes.

I hope he gets the nerf soon.
