it's actually in low 4k range but if you look up the medals you'll quickly realise it should be more than that by at least 400 mmr

Can confirm... i'm a bit below 3K and most of my team members are legend 3-5 even though they should technically be archon. Sure its based on party MMR but why is it a thing if it doesnt represent your individual skill... just to flex how hard you dropped or got carried??

My smurf is 2300 mmr or smt archon 5 instead of crusader 7
its like they purposely decreased mmr for each medal..
people are barely 2k mmr and yet flexing with legend or even ancient medals
Dota ranks don't even matter below immortal with number, may as well just give everyone divine 7, mmr is and always will be the only thing that matters.
Recently i had a ranked game around 3250 mmr with 4 ancients in my team a couple ancients in the enemy team, medals mean shit below divine. Kinda funny i calibrated 3220 archon 7.
Everything looks fine, this game's prob ~ 4.3 avg , medals dropped like always. I bet divine starts @ 4.6 or 4.7 again x) I played on my smurf 1 game over a month ago and gained 2 medals with % in the 80's after I won a game, it's anc 3 almost now with 3.8k mmr on solo and 3.2 or 3.3 idk on party.
@Vertox : Your party is high , hence the high medal. plus medals dropped a bit.
Usually 90% have low party mmr -1k mmr atleast from solo hence it somehow balances.
But yea like quite a few ppl have ambiguous medals now but its cos their party is high or uncalibrated.

My party is pretty much close to my solo mmr and always has been. It's 200+ above, that's really not that high.
On the other hand, 4400 mmr in general is not even close to ancient 7 anyways

Yeah, really the medal system below divine is 100% trash. The solo and party combined with weird composition is really ruining it. I have smurf with ancient 7 medal with only 3.2k solo (4.8k party) when i play solo, there is so much ancient on that acc. Even my friend is have like 4k solo 4.2k party and its ancient 7 rn think his skill level already same with me and bragging about how he will reach divine in no time smh even tho 4.8k is so long to reach.
Just make solo and party medal separated pls

regadless that should be ancient 2 at best, or ancient 3 cuz of party of 4400
