The problem is somewhere else in your life and it manifested as dota addiction.I agree with guy above,don't be alone ,find interest ,hobby ,friend ,girlfriend,boyfriend,set future goal.
ofc these are hard to do ,I was in your place ,you leave and get back ,leave and get back , but eventually it wll stop .and if you start sooner to quit addiction it is better.I left dota ,my life is better now,but I wish I could have had left it sooner ,Reality hits you hard after leaving dota.
about social skills , mine was poor too ,to the point i couldn't even look at faces , it just took one year after quitting dota to be decent in human interaction.
also therapy helps and is not a bad thing if you can efford it.

But since I'm here might aswell reply. I suggest you to not try to send away the thoughts or get mad at them. Try to understand the issue first, the game itself is designed to give dopamine spikes and cause addiction. Feel the urge when it rises and let it pass by, because it will. No judgement or feeling bad. This way, if you will still play at least you will start doing it consciously and not compulsively. Aside of that, you might wanna ask yourself if there is something you have been avoiding emotionally, some self inquiry/journaling might help. Poor social skills alone could also be the reason, videogames are outcasts' safe space. Please be careful not to fall into a vicious cycle in which they are impaired but get worse because you shut in and avoid dealing with the world. Whatever your fear is, it can and must be conquered and things can change. Best of luck
